Travis Kelce has vowed to Taylor Swift’s family to be her guardian in every way possible, with reports from The Mirror Online suggesting that they view the NFL ace as a ‘built in bodyguard.’
Swift‘s family is reportedly over the moon about her year-long romance with Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs sensation, as their love continues to flourish.
A source confided to the Daily Mail: “Taylor’s family and everyone who knows her is so relieved by her relationship with Travis not only because she is madly in love but also because he makes her security personnel job much easier.”
That same person noted: “No one will try to come close to her when she is holding hands with her powerhouse boyfriend.”
During his ‘New Heights’ podcast sessions with sibling Jason Kelce, Travis hasn’t been shy about expressing how protective he feels towards Taylor, especially recalling the attention their first dates in New York City attracted last year, reports the Mirror US.
On the show, Travis shared: “I feel like whenever I’m on a date, I’m always having the sense that I’m a man in the situation. I’m protective, yeah, for sure. You always have to have that feeling or self-awareness, I guess.”
In addition, just months into their partnership, Page Six disclosed that Kelce had requested the blessing of Taylor’s dad to marry her.
Presently, insiders are buzzing with expectations of an impending engagement between the two. The pair confirmed their relationship at a Kansas City Chiefs game last season, where Swift was seen in the stadium with Travis’s mother.
Swift went on to attend 13 NFL games in the 2023 season, traveling around the country to support Kelce – even flying 13 hours from Tokyo to pause her tour and see him win the Super Bowl.
Kelce has reciprocated the support, watching Swift perform on stage across South America, Australia, and various European countries during her Eras tour.
However, in recent weeks, the two have been apart for an extended period as Swift continues her tour in Europe and Kelce returns to the Chiefs’ facility for training camp. Swift is set to wrap up the European leg of her tour in the next two weeks, and it’s believed she plans to fly straight to Kansas City to spend time with Travis.
