Tom Brady was in New York City this week for Fanatics Fest and took a playful jab at New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones that aged surprisingly well.
During his appearance on stage with Stephen A. Smith yesterday, Brady started talking about what he’d do if he threw an interception and decided to use Jones as an example.

“In some ways I don’t know exactly what the problem was on that play. Let’s say, Daniel Jones throws an interception (crowd boos)… I didn’t mean to say it like that… I wasn’t even being critical of Daniel Jones,” Brady said with a smile. Well, it didn’t take long for Brady’s example to manifest on the football field.
Around 24 hours after Brady was caught making that statement, Jones threw not one, but two interceptions in today’s preseason game against the Houston Texans. They were pretty bad ones too.
Fans recalled these comments from Brady and agreed on one thing: His take aged like fine wine: “it couldn’t have aged better for Brady,” one user joked today.
“He doesn’t miss,” another admitted. But others feel that it was just a case of Brady being salty over having lost two Super Bowls to the Giants during his playing days. “QBs rarely ever talk (expletive) about other QBs especially former hall of fame ones.
It takes a special kind of trash for the goat to taking shots at another qb,” one user remarked. “Looks like they got Brady trained and ready to go for the mainstream media lmao,” another said.
Either way, Brady was kind of right here.
