Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered what looked to be a gruesome knee injury on Tuesday night.
Brink was driving to the basket with the ball in the first quarter of the Sparks’ game against the Connecticut Sun when she slipped on the court and twisted her knee in an awkward way.
She immediately began wincing in pain, and had to be helped off the court by her teammates.
There is still no update about the extent of Brink’s injury.`
But that didn’t keep fellow rookie Angel Reese from sending her a heartfelt message.
“prayers for my sweet girl! @cameronbrink22,” Reese wrote on X with a prayer hands emoji.
Despite the kind message, WNBA fans are flooding Reese’s replies with Caitlin Clark comments.
“You would never tweet this about Caitlin,” one X user wrote in response to Reese’s post.

“but doesnt have the courage to say sorry to caitlin clark after nearly knocking her out,” wrote another.
A third fan simple posted a GIF of Clark during her time back at Iowa.

Fans clearly can’t get enough of the relationship that Clark and Reese have with one another.
Regardless, prayers up for Cameron Brink.
