Former LSU star Angel Reese has played 10 games so far in her rookie season with the Chicago Sky, and the star forward credits her successful transition to her time at LSU and women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey.
Since draft night, Reese has not shied away talking about the physicality of the league. But she recently opened up about her transition from college ball to the pros.
“I think my transition has been great,” she said in an interview with CBS Sports.

In Reese’s last six games, she tacked up four double-doubles, and she is averaging 11 points and nine rebounds per game. Famously, Reese broke LSU great Sylvia Fowles’ single season double-double record and the NCAA double-double record in LSU’s championship season.
“Kim Mulkey kinda prepared me for this moment… I thought [Chicago Sky] training camp was going to be harder,” Reese said.
According to Reese, practices at LSU were about four hours long.
“We were running, we were working, I thought I was really prepared,” she continued.
Reese reunited with her former coach recently when the Chicago Sky traveled to play the Washington Mystics where Mulkey sat courtside.
