Spectator Cracked Perfect Taylor Swift Joke After Travis Kelce’s Poor Tee Shot

Travis Kelce’s no stranger to playing in front of a big crowd, but even he had to acknowledge some light-hearted teasing from a spectator at a recent golf event.

Kelce is competing in this weekend’s American Century Championship, one of the most prestigious and competitive celebrity golf competitions in the world.

He lined up on Saturday for a tee shot, but the ball did not go where he intended. One fan, attempting to cheer Kelce up, said “at least you’ve still got Taylor,” referring to Kelce’s girlfriend and international pop star Taylor Swift.

Kelce thanked the fan before giving a wave to some supporters who called out to him before continuing his round. The Kansas City Chiefs TE and his brother Jason are near the end of the leaderboard at the tournament so far.

Former tennis star Mardy Fish is in first place, followed by longtime NHL player Joe Pavelski and Carolina Panthers receiver Adam Thielen.

Other stars competing in the ACC this weekend include Ray Allen, Austin Reaves, Blake Griffin and Vince Carter from the NBA. Entertainers like Carson Daly, Nate Bargatze, Don Cheadle and Larry the Cable Guy are also participating.
Stephen Curry, another avid golfer, won the event last year with a field that included top celebrity golfers like Tony Romo.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current NFL announcer has won the ACC three times, most recently in 2022 in a playoff against former MLB pitcher Mark Mulder and Pavelski.

We’ll see which star emerges as the top performer this year, but it doesn’t appear that Travis Kelce will be that player.
